Ask My Dad's Record Collection
My dad had thousands of records. He was a brick mason from Nebraska who chased the perfect sound through tube amps and vinyl his whole life. He passed in October 2024.
This experiment keeps his collection alive. You tell it how you’re feeling and an AI — speaking as Daniel — hands you the right album. A generative art engine draws the center label, the needle drops, and a 30-second preview plays while the record spins.
The mood wall accumulates what visitors have written over time. The shelf lets you browse his collection by genre. Every record has a tag — something Daniel might have said about when he played it.
Built with Astro, Claude, and the Deezer preview API. The collection currently holds 61 records and growing.
